Powder Coating of Montana first opened in Missoula, Montana in 1985. As the original powder coater in the state the company grew rapidly and was soon servicing customers as far east as Billings. Due to customer demand a second shop was opened in 1999 in Belgrade. With both locations the company serviced customers across Montana and into North Dakota, Wyoming and Idaho.
In 2013 we sold the operations of the Missoula shop to our largest customer, Lifting Technologies, Inc. In order to better service their company they made the decision to close the shop and move all equipment to their facilities. Unfortunately they are no longer powder coating for customers.
However, the Belgrade shop continues to serve Montana customers. In 2008 we moved from our original location on Jackrabbit Drive down the road to a brand new custom made facility in Bruce Industrial Park.
Our shop foreman in Belgrade, Mike Fredrickson, has been with Powder Coating of Montana since the location was opened. He and his crew have extensive experience in the process and are happy to share their knowledge with you.
Powder coating is actually a simple process, and some hobbyists even do it in their homes, using kitchen ovens. But the quality of the finish is dependent on a number of factors, and that is where our experience is invaluable. We will know the proper preparation, the best type of powder and the oven variables. Our customer satisfaction is extremely high.
Call Mike or stop by the shop to get an estimate or to get your powder coating questions answered.
