Over 65 years ago, Bud O’Boyle established Irishman’s Shanty as a Southside Crookston bar in Minnesota. In the decades that have passed since, visiting The Shanty has become an old pastime of locals and a must for newcomers. We've grown a great deal since our humble beginnings -- having added a liquor store, family restaurant, and banquet hall.
There's a lot of different types of food available at The Shanty, but we're known best for our burgers, steaks, and ribs. We are open for lunch and dinner, and offer fast and courteous service. Don't be fooled by the name; while we love our Irishman, we welcome anyone who wants to go out and have some good food and a good time.
Paul Gregg has been the restaurant's owner since 1984. He loves the family atmosphere the employees have created and cultivated over the years - they love the restaurant as much as he does.
