The Mayor and City Council are the legislative and policy making body for Eagan's City government. The Mayor is responsible for chairing Council meetings. In all other ways, the Mayor and Councilmembers have the same authority and responsibilities. The Mayor and four City Councilmembers are elected for four years in alternating terms. Elections are held in November of the even numbered years. Mayor and City Councilmembers do not have offices at City Hall. The phone numbers listed here are provided for use by the public. If you wish to email City Council, please note that they do not have direct access to email. However, a special email address has been set up as a means to contact them at citycouncil@cityofeagan.com. City staff will forward copies of the email to the Council for response.
