After Trinity: A New Wave of Religious Freedom As recently as a year ago, it appeared that our most cherished freedom, the freedom to freely exercise our Christian faith, would soon be drastically restricted. However, over the course of this past year, beginning with the Trinity Lutheran ruling (Trinity Lutheran Church Columbia, MO vs. Comer, June 2017), which Trinity won by a 7-2 vote at the SCOTUS there have been a series of extraordinary decisions from the Supreme Court which have dramatically changed the situation and in fact, now promise to enhance our ability to live-out and proclaim the Gospel beyond what we'd known before. On Sunday, September 16, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Perham, beginning at 7:00 PM you'll have the opportunity to hear Rev. Fredric Hinz, our LCMS Church's Public Policy Advocate in Minnesota, as he explains the details surrounding this exciting turnaround and suggests ways in which you can help to move this trend forward. Far from being just "some boring legal stuff", these are developments that will directly impact your daily life and the ministry of your Church for many years to come. We hope to see you there! You'll be glad you came.
